Come and visit Balbriggan. With its blend of rich history, charming scenery, activities for all, and convenient location, this  seaside town has something for everyone to love.

Balbriggan Harbour Lighthouse One of Balbriggan’s most recognisable tourist attractions is our beautiful harbour and lighthouse. Our harbour still retains an active fishing fleet and we are proud of our rich maritime heritage. When you visit Balbriggan, make sure to start at the harbour and take a short walk to the historic Martello Tower and  “Blackrock Beach” where the views are spectacular.

Balrothery village is home to some wonderfully picturesque cottages.

Just outside of town and visible from the coast road is Ardgillan Castle. A lovely location to visit, Ardgillan Castle has miles of park areas, award winning gardens and a charming coffee shop. It also has a play park for the kids and a Holistic Centre. Ardgillan is a truly beautiful spot with incredible views of the ocean and is not to be missed!

Activities

If you are into activities you have come to the right place. A visit to Balbriggan Golf Club offers a healthy day out.  The Golf Club is among the premier parkland courses in Leinster and visitors are always welcome. We have a state-of-the-art Xtreme Sports Adventure Centre five minutes outside of town, which offers outdoor activities for all ages. In the same area, you can try a day of clay pidgeon shooting, fishing or tennis,  after which you can lunch at the Manowar Pub, or the Balrothery Inn. In the centre of town there are numerous pubs and restaurants where you will get a pint and a chat with the locals and some lovely gift shops to ensure you don’t leave without taking a little piece of Ireland back home. Getting Around

Balbriggan boasts many attractions, but one of our biggest selling points is our location in Fingal! There are numerous ways for travellers to visit balbriggan and use our town as a hub for travelling to and from other areas in North County Dublin, and then coming “Home” to relax beside the sea.
